Altria to Launch “Mark Ten” E-Cigarette

We’ve got some new details about the upcoming e-cigarette to be marketed my Altria, maker of Marlboro cigarettes and the largest tobacco company in the U.S.

Mark Ten

Altria’s Mark Ten

Named the “Mark Ten,” the electronic cigarette will be sold by Altria subsidiary NuMark. The initial launch will be in Indiana, to be followed by a nationwide expansion.

The Mark Ten will be disposable, but can also be reused buy buying a separate battery charging kit and pre-filled cartridges. It will be made in China by a third-party manufacturer, and include regulating circuitry to provide consistent output.  The Mark Ten is expected to sell for $9.50, with no pricing announced for the charger or cartridges.

Altria also plans to expand the sales region for its Verve line of chewables, from an initial base of 60 stores to 1,200 stores throughout Virginia, and will be launching a line of tobacco-based gum named “Tju” in Denmark this summer.

I love when people say that cigarettes are to blame. for the choices of another.

unless it’s come to the point where you’re flat out leashed like a thai prostitute it’s your own decision. I made a decision to smoke and buy cigarettes, now i made the decision to switch to vaping. Blame yourself not someone else for your own hang ups.

Back to the article. I don’t see this going very well unless it’s 510 compatible. at least in my opinion, The 510 style e cig market share is just too great. so unless they’re they’re cheaper and better then the current offerings they’re not going to make it.
