RTS Vapes Targeted by Feds for Nicotine Sales
According to a message posted Thursday on ECF, a trio of Homeland Security agents visited RTS Vapes, as well as the home of CEO and President Randy Slabney, presumably in relation to RTS Vapes’ nicotine extraction process.
According to Slabney, he was accused of lying to federal agents when they asked if he sold “small vials with flavor and nicotine in them,” and he answered in the negative. RTS Vapes sells flavorless nicotine used by many (including us here at Vape Squad) in the making of DIY e-liquid.
“Curious that we refused a buyout offer by a [big tobacco] company last week and this happens.”
-Randy Slabney, RTS Vapes
Slabney says he was asked about 20 other questions about the production of pure nicotine, and was told it was a “risk to the country” because nicotine is a poison.
Agents apparently obtained records about RTS Vapes’ business through a subpoena issued to Vollusion, who runs the shopping cart for RTS Vapes.
According to Slabney, RTS Vapes is the second largest supplier of flavorless nicotine liquid in the country.
